Castle photographic archive 1918 - 1933

The first exhibition to be held at the newly renovated National Monument in Vítkov showcases a unique photographic archive, the work of the press core attached to the presidium of the Council of Ministers between 1918 and 1933. The archive was used for press and documentary purposes before the National Museum‘s Archive saved it from destruction in 1972.

600 years of Prague’s Astronomical Clock

In 2010 Prague‘s Astronomical clock will be 600 years old. The Old Town clock is one of the most precious and best known sights in the capital. 700th anniversary of the accession of the Luxemburg dynasty to the Czech throne

In 2010 it will be seven centuries since the first member of the Luxemburg dynasty sat on the Czech throne. Hussite exhibition in Prague

This is a new exhibition set to take place at Prague’s Powder Tower. Visitors can learn a little about the Hussite wars and inspect artefacts from the period. The display on the 2nd floor deals with the Battle of Domažlice. Information boards provide more detail in text form. A Hive for Pious Souls – an exhibition at the Olomouc Archdiocese Museum

This exhibition at the Olomouc Archdiocese Museum showcases the religious brotherhoods in the culture of early medieval Moravia. The exhibition is made up of unique artefacts intended for liturgical, educational, disciplinarily and representative purposes of these associations. These include altar paintings, processional statues, liturgical objects, richly decorated member registers, printed material, membership documents, seals, certificates of incorporation and medals. The display provides both a detailed and engaging overview of this ancient organisation.
